Documentation:
We documented the use and traffic flow of the site by photographing Union Square every 1/2 hour over a 12 hour period. We initially noticed that there were distinct areas of travel or walkable areas in the park and contrastly areas that were for seating or relaxing. The movement of people through Union Square followed concetric circles of walking and sitting from the street to the statue at the center. Furthernore, it was interesting to see that as night fell, people started to congregate around the light poles in the square.
