Mobile Design: 2007Collaborators: Erik Burke & Mark Bruels
This project is an exploration into mobile communication.
LUMEN8 envisions a way to make text messaging more
personal by putting hand writing back into the non-personal and digital text message.
The message is created and stored by using gestural movements and
in-phone accelerometers. A background is added
and the message is then sent as an image to a friend. LUMEN8 allows for
more expressive means of mobile communication than current forms of texting.
