Urban Safari
Interactive Installation / Web: 2007Collaborator: Jia Zhang
Urban Safari documents the flow of people through Union Square by placing bands of chalk across major pathways.
In much the same manner as safari animals gather near watering holes, people too gather to rest and recharge in public squares.
Overhead the swirling of people portray similar effects seen in river eddies with varying speeds of motion and flow around obstacles.
